A circle is a great representation of our mission and vision because, when you look at a circle, you are looking at a visual representation of an answer Jesus gave to a man looking for direction in his life. The man sought his answer by asking Jesus what the most important commandment was that he should follow. This is how Jesus responded to him:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
These two things, loving God and loving others, are not independent of each other, they are interdependent forming a perpetual motion moving our hearts toward God and towards others with a kind of love is at the heart of our faith.
The teaching of Jesus shows us over and over again, as we learn to love God; we learn to love others. And, as we learn to love others, we learn to love God, a constant circle drawn by God that is at the heart of who God created us to be.
Making an impact by loving God and loving others.
